Sevryukov V. Development of technology and improvement of the equipment for restoration of ship shafts

The purpose of dissertational work is increasing of an operational resource of ship shafts by their restoration and maintenance of cyclic durability with use of ultrasonic shock processing. The review of the literary data on a problem of weariness of directing shafts is made, features of fatigue failure are investigated, scientifically proved technique of forecasting of probability of formation in a transitive layer and a zone of thermal influence of cracks is developed, the technique of regulation of microstructural changes and residual pressure in a zone of potential origin fatigue cracks is offered. The technology of restoration of ship shaft is developed by surfacing them and the subsequent ultrasonic shock processing of superficial layers which provides their serviceability in conditions of cyclic loading in sea water.
