Essay

The dissertation research retrospects natural conditions of loess accumulation in Volyno-Podillya during Late Pleistocene using fauna of molluscs. The analysis witnesses that for the studied time span the malacocenoses were dominated by ubiquists and cold-adjusted forms. This fauna composition, as well as comparisons with the results obtained by other methods, allow to make a conclusion that the studied deposits were formed under the cold periglacial conditions.
