Brygar V. The effectiveness of enterosorbents in complex treatment of community-acquired pneumonia in patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis.

The dissertation is dedicated to evaluation of effectiveness of enterosorbents in complex treatment of patients with community-acquired pneumonia, developed on the background of chronic obstructive bronchitis. There have been established that application of enterosorbents promoted an acceleration of inflammation regression, a stabilization of proteinase-inhibitor system and normalization of bronchoalveoar lavage fluid aminotranferase, phosphotase and lactatedehydrogenase levels. The reduction of term of in-hospital treatment has also been noted. The low dose enterosgel, administered intermittently, had equal efficacy with conventional therapies. At the same time the proposed therapeutic regimen had no adverse effects, attributable to standard enterosorbtion. The administration of enterosorbtion improved the treatment results in follow-up period - decreased the rate of recurrent episodes of pneumonia and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
