Subject: genetic diversity of Pisum sativum L. Aim: to isolate and create the initial material for breeding of pea varieties with improved grain quality in the Eastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Results: there has been identified and created the valuable initial material for regional breeding of feed, food and industrial targeted varieties, there has been established heritability and genetic control of grain quality characters, the ways for breeding of pea varieties with improved grain quality has been proposed.
