The dissertation contains the results of the main inhibitory neurotransmitter of the nervous system - garnma-amynobutiric acid (GABA) in pathogenesis of the chronical obstructive bronchitis of patients and possible use of GABA in its sanogenesis. It has been shown that the part of the patients of that kind on the background of beach of function exterior breathing the correlation between the processes of peroxidation of lipids and the activity of the antioxidantal system, the relative reduction of the function of adrenal cortex; GABA - energetic stress-limiting mechanisms became exhausted. It can be significant for the course of disease, the data of interrelationship between the level of GABA in blood and the severeness of disease, its duration of near obstruction and obstructive periods. It has been established that GABA was possessed the definite broncholytical activity; it has became permisible for using it in the complex treatment to achive some kind of correlation of the intensivity of peroxidation of lipids and the activity of the antioxidantal system, stabilization of the function of adrenal cortex, more faster disapperance of the main sympthoms of disease, to reduce the dose of broncholytics, antiinflammatory medicines and other preparations in comparison with the traditional methods of treatment and the main thing is to reduce the time of inpations to be treated. Having such a background of these investigations the use of aminalon has been recomended in the complex treatment of chronical obstructive bronchitis.
