Isakov P. An insurrectional anti-Communist movement of Left-Bank Ukraine peasants (March, 1919 - November, 1921)

This thesis is focused on the genesis, the most typical displays and peculiarities of an insurrectional anti-Communist movement of Left-Bank Ukraine peasants during the period from March 1919 to November 1921, which was an integral part of peasant insurrectional anti-Communist movement in Ukraine. The author considers this problem as the main phenomenon of Ukraine revolution and civil war around which or in close connection with which all the most noticeable political combinations were built, had a success or suffered a defeat. The main factors, that resulted in appearance, development and decay of the peasant insurrectional anti-Communist movement are found out. The author describes a great part of an insurrectional anti-Communist detachments of peasants that took place in the research region, gives them an entire characteristic, generalizes and analyses a large number of isolated figure and real material. The peculiarities of the geography of broadening of movement are analyzed. The content of insurr ectional programs, slogans and demands of the mass peasant anti-Communist disturbances and risings are studied, the ideology of an insurrectional movement are determined. Biographic information about the most famous leaders of the insurrectional anti-Communist detachments of Left-Bank Ukraine are given.
