Slobodyan O. Pistyn center of pottery of the XIX- first half of the XX century (History, typology, artistic peculiarities, masters).

Pottery of Pistyn region has been investigated as a unique historic-cultural phenomenon in this thesis. Historical stages of the development of pottery have been enlightened here. The traits which are characteristic of the formation of the local school and its role in the making and development of the hutsulian stylistics of ceramic painting have been defined .For the first time the typology of works of art is devised according to their function and form, which gives the right to assert about great variety of types and typological groups of works. In fact they involve almost all possible branches of functioning of ceramics: ceremonial objects, tableware, articles for arrangement of dwelling, including tiles, personal things and toys. The assortment of pistyn ceramics numbers 16 typological groups and more than 50 types. The branch of tableware is the biggest one.
