Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of metal ornaments and additions in the traditional male costume of the Ukrainians of the Carpathians in the late XIX – early XX centuries through the definition of their typology and artistic features. The fourth chapter analyzes the artistic features of the array of objects of metal male costume jewelry and additions to the traditional male costume of Ukrainians of the Carpathians of the late nineteenth – early twentieth century, compositional patterns on them are classified, proving that innovations in folk brass in the Carpathian region of Ukraine strengthens its traditions and contributes to its preservation.
