Essay

The given thesis explores Ukrainian folk figure-shaped ceramics as a unique ethno-cultural and artistic phenomenon. More than a thousand of earthenware relief works have been introduced here for the first time. Including the earthenware from other countries into the given research has allowed the author to claim that Ukrainian relief earthenware was developing within world art tendencies and emphasize originality and national specificity of this type of applied and decorative art.
