The thesis is devoted to the problem of librarians' tenets influence onto the formation of public libraries readers audience. The existence of readers and librarians tenets mutual influence onto the process of formation and structuring the public libraries readers audience by different criteria, the leading of which is the criterion of the audience's attendance intensity, has been theoretically substantiated and experimentally proved in the thesis. The library studies literature, where national and foreign experience of investigating readers and librarians tenets is discovered, has been examined. The empirical research of readers' tenets concerning libraries and librarians, and also professional tenets by librarians and library and informational studies students has been provided. The author has realized detailed social and psychological analysis of the process of formation and structuring the public libraries readers' audience. The applied social and psychological training for prospective librariansa iming at forming positive professional tenets has been grounded, worked out, and put into practical activity.
