Essay

The medicinal leeches were used us an object of the genetical analysis. The component analysis schemes for the basic reproductive characters were elaborated. It was described the following characters of the population structure: fecundity, correlations, growth rate, mortality, optimums of the reproductive characters. The coefficients of the heritability of the main reproductive characters were determined. The results of the different types of the artifical selection were forecasted, the complex of the selection arrangements was elaborated in order to raise the fecundity of the medicinal leeches.
