The dissertation is devoted to the complete analysis of theoretical and methodical problems of training and education the soldier in a pedagogical heritage outstanding military, state figure, scientific, teacher of second half ХІХ - and beginning ХХ of centuries.The ideas of the military teacher in the field of training the military men are systematized. The components of the contents of training the soldier are characterized, the basic principles, forms and methods of military training in the creative heritage of the scientist are revealed.Dissertation represents views of М.I. Dragomirov on essence of education of the military men, its purpose and the tasks. The pedagogical ideas of the military theorist about principles and methods of education the soldier are generalized.
