Shtyker S. Improvement of the peritoneal cavity irrigation in children with generalized peritonitis

The thesis is devoted to improvement of treatment of generalized forms of peritonitis in children. The new methods of sub- and postoperative peritoneal cavity irrigation in children with peritonitis with the use of ozonated saline is suggested and developed. In the experimental part of this work the parameters of ozonated saline application for peritoneal cavity irrigation were validated, with which ozone has marked bactericidal action with minimal side-effects. There was established by the clinical investigations that the application of ozone considerably inhibits pathogenic bacteria, effectively eliminates fibrin masses. The preventive role of ozone application against adhesion formation in the postoperative period was revealed. Dynamics of some clinical-laboratory parameters and decrease of postoperative complications testify to improvement of results of the treatment. It were formulated the indications and determined tactics of an application of the postoperative laparoscopy irrigation with the use of the ozonated saline. As a result of this the quality of the treatment of patients with most severe forms of peritonitis was improved.
