The actual problems of the influence of the artificial hypoxic training in general and special work capacity of highly skilled sportsmen especially track and field athletes is investigated. The studies have demonstrated that utilization of interval hypoxic training on the background of traditional sports training results in significant improvement of the body oxygen regime. Utilization of this training mode has led to increase in general and special work capacity of athletes, anaerobic and aerobic productivity, reduction of pulse and oxygen cost of work, thus significantly effecting sport performances of subjects. Under the influence of the course IHT that has let on the background TST the indexes of special work capacity of the short distance runners increase. By means of comprehensive end pedagogical studies on the efficiecy of interval hypoxic training used for the track and fieid athletes during the sports' load anaerobic glicolize direction. The recommendations on the utilization of normobarichesky interval hypoxic training on the background of traditional sport training of track and field athletes were worked out on the base of the results getting during the studies. The presented facts allow to conclude that combined method of training (IHT on the background of TST) is more effective then sports training itself, it allows to adapt the low рО2 in the inhaled air during the short period of time and by simple and accessible means.
