The cytogenetic analysis showed the increase of the level of chromosome reorganisations by 5,3 - 6,8 times in the crops grown in the accident zone of Chornobyl NPP. The frequency of forming visible mutations exceeds a spontaneous level by 12,5 - 16,7 times. The increase of the level of mutation variability in the zone of Chornobyl NPP is evidence of threat for living organisms
