Essay

The object of study is the activity of the higher political leaders, who were at the head of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic and Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, local party and soviet bodies in the formation of the public opinion concerning events of 1968 in Czechoslovakia. The aim is understanding of the influence of the events of 1968 in Czechoslovakia on Ukraine. There were used the following methods: structural-comparative, system-analytical, problem-chronological. There was determined the influence of the events of 1968 in Czechoslovakia on Ukrainian society. There was given general description of the sentiments of the different classes of the Ukrainian population in respect of the events in Czechoslovakia.
