A study of 216 patients with clinical stage I NSGCTT was conducted to identify prognostic factors that may predict the likelihood of metastasis. Clinical and histopatological features of the primary testicular tumors were examined and analyzed for correlations with development of tumor relapse. Patients were characterized according to the presents of vascular invasion (presents of a tumor embolus), tumor extension in to tunica albuginea, rete testis, epididimis or spermatic cord, areas of necrosis, size criterion of the tumors, amound of each cell types (as a persentage) in the primary tumors, history of cryptorchid testis, serum AFP and HCG levels before treatment and during the treatment. All patients had andergone radical transinguinal orchiectomy. All patients were treated in desease relaps with chemotherapy. The effects of cytotoxic cysplatin-based chemotherapy, RPLND and unilateral orchiectomy on gonadal function and semen quality were investigated by hormonal evaluation (FSH, T, LH) and semen analysis.
