Essay

Thesis for candidate degree in agriculture science on speciality 06.01.05 - Selection and Seed-Growing. The Institute of Sugar Beets of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Science, Kyiv, 2001. Thesis is devoted to a theoretical substantiation and elaboration of technique for the density formation of overwintering plants during an autumn and autumn-summer vegetative periods. There are also determined the optimal initial density and after wintering of overwintering plants, which should be correspondingly with in the limits of 10-12 (low level) and 20-24 (upper level) plants for 1 meter and 5-6 (low level) and 13-15 (upper level) plants for 1 meter of row. On the strength of research were worked out methods of optimal density formation of overwintering plants: sowing to the ultimate (target) density and mechanized thinning in spring.
