Essay

In the thesis the author investigates the all-Ukrainian Academy of Science activity dealt with Ukrainian regions history researches and their popularization. The main directions of land study actions of the History-philology Department of the Academy - historiographical, ethnographical, archaelogical - are analysed. Different kinds of the cooperation between the Academy, its local societies and numerous researchers are considered. Generalisations, conclusions and practical recomendations are done on the basis of these investigations.
