Gogunskaya I. Efficacy of inhaled corticosteroids in treatment of asthma exacerbations

Study design - 90 patients with mild and several exacerbations of persistent asthma (A). Aim of study - to asses efficacy and tolerability of inhaled corticosteroids (IC) budesonide (B) and fluticason propionat (FP) in treatment patients with asthma exacerbation. Methods - clinic, functional, laboratory, specific quality of life questionnaire, mathematics. Results - it was been developed dose regimen of FP and Baccording severity of asthma exacerbation. It was been established that FP and B are efficacy and well tolerable drugs. Developed regimens of pharmacotherapy of asthma using IC are allowed to achieve cure of asthma exacerbation in 100% patients. Inhaled corticosteroids FP and B in high doses don't inhibit blood level of cortisol and don't produce systemic cardio-vascular side effects. It was been established that FP is more effective then B on data of quality of life. Implementation - presentations on European respiratory Congress and scientific conferences.
