Essay

The dissertation is devoted to structural and semantic features of specification category. The specification is defined as a logical and syntax category, which is realized, by pragmatic directives and communicative tasks. Specification components can be presented by a word, word-combination (in the narrow meaning of the term), lexy, phrase nominator. Words play the leading role; dismembered onomatological units are often used for realization of a defined component. Speaker's flexibility is developed not only in the usage of the specification phrase, but also in the choice of the exact onomatological unit. Specification phrases are concerned to universals, which take place in a number of languages. That proves the essence of universals in person's way of thinking, the display of anthropocentrism in a language and makes learning of specification category topical, interesting, substantial and prospective.
