Object of investigation:Geographical names of Uzhhorod and its suburbs. Aim of studies:Both language and archival materials have been analyzed in detail. Method of investigation: descriptive, lingvogeographical, coparative-historical. Scientific novelty of results:for the first time the geographical names of Uzhhorod and its suburbs have been collected, analyzed and studied. Implantation: planned. Sphere of applications: in both University and school teaching; in cmpiling the dictionary of the geographical names of Ukraine.
