Oleynic Z. Parenthetical and insertive components in the structure of utterance and text

The object of the research is parenthetical and insertive components as constituent parts of senteme, utterance and text: their functional meaning, their place in the positional composition of the sentence as well as in the discourse structure. The aim of the research is to specify, inrich and systematize the knowledge of structural and semantic role of parenthetical and insertive components in the structure of sentence and text and to define the nature of syntactic and bond between insertive component (evaluative qualificator of ue utterance content) and sentence-utterance, between sentence utterance and insertive component. The methods of the research: method of linguistic description, method of introspective analysis; transformational method; contrastive-comparative method. Terminological apparatus (system) of traditional and modern linguistics. The theoretical value of thesis is that the carried out analysis of insertive categories expressive methods, in first, is the concrete argument in favour ofthe speech activity division. Idea offered and understood by F.de.Sosyur as trichatomy "language-usage-speaking"; secondly, the nature and differentiation principles of modality category are determined; in third, the notion of secondary predicate is determined; the essence of syntactical transposition is set, that might be used when analyzing parts of speech classification principles. The practical value of the work is determined by the possibility of using of the achieved results in teaching practice of General Linguistics Course, Syntax and Morphology Courses of the up-to-date Russian and Ukrainian languages, special courses delivering, connected with the problems of modality categories; when compiling the guideline on Syntax and Morphology of the modern Russian and Ukrainian languages; in lexicology practice. The scientific innocation of the thesis is that the functional essence of insertive and parenthesis categories are set, which are not equal each other; the position (location) of parenthetical components in the structural and semantical sentence components hierarchy; quantitative and qualitative paradigm of subjective modality contexts; distribution of the methods of the parenthetical categories expression between the system and usage; discursive nature of parenthetical components; a dramatically different approach towards the insertive predicative units qualification and syntactical constructions with insertive and parenthetical predicative units are offered in the general typology of the syntactical units.
