The research specifies the procedure of the functional and onomasiological analysis of the verb and verbal metaphor within the plane of the cognitive linguistics; reveals the semantic specificity of various classes of the general lingual and individual author's verbal metaphor; systematizes structural and semantic types of the verbal metaphor of A. Bielyi; provides the functional and onomasiological classification of all verbal metaphors in "The symphonies" and conceptual analysis of key words actualized in metaphoric constructions.
