Pohresnyk A. Sociocultural orientations of student youth in the transformational society: essence and dynamics

Object of the research is a social and cultural orientation of the modern Ukrainian youth. The aim of the research is learning of the social and cultural orientation of the modern Ukrainian student youth, their dynamics in the transformational society. Methods of the research are based on the classical and modern methodological approaches that are used for the analyses of the youth's problems in the context of the unified philosophical interpretation of the human-beings' problem. The civilization and concrete historical approaches developed in the system of the contemporary social philosophy are also used in the process of the research. Theoretical and practical results of the research can be used for further elaboration of the issues dealt with the modern student youth, understanding of the dynamics of their social and cultural orientations. They can be used in the teaching process as the theoretical ground for the corresponding course and for the organization of the social and upbringing work in thestudents' environment. Novelty of the research. 1. Correlation parameters of all the components of the youth's orientations are developed - economical, political, social, cultural and moral values. 2. It was made a profound substantiation of the dynamic nature of the social and cultural orientations of students, character of their adoption (subject - object relations). 3. It was determined the main, dominant social and cultural orientation of the modern student's youth - desire to obtain high quality and prestigious education as the means for the self-realization in all social spheres. 4. Typical features of the social and cultural orientations of the modern student's youth and issues of their formation were clarified. 5. Organizational principles of the humanitarian infrastructure of the Higher Institution with emphases on the social and cultural requirements of students were explained.
