The notary and the notarial community as individual and collective subjects who not only regulate the legal relations of people in society and of a person and society based on strict observance of laws but also can actualize the development of legal consciousness comprehensively and systematically considered. It is noted that the basis for this understanding is the fact that any type of human activity in the rule-of-law state requires its notarization - only in this case it becomes legitimate. This is facilitated by the professional community composed of notaries. These are individuals who understand what a person is as a sovereign of his or her own reasonable will, and what the rule of law is as an institution for managing human rational and volitional intentions that form the basis of mature legal consciousness. The study was carried out and based on several methodological approaches. Firstly, this is the dialectical approach of G.W.F. Hegel, that made it possible to realize and resolve the basic contradictions of the notary's personality in his interaction with the socio-cultural environment. When comprehending the existential originality of a notary in society, the ideas of L. Feuerbach regarding the importance of the senses were important. In understanding the existential uniqueness of the notary in society, L. Feuerbach's ideas about the importance of sensuality in the existence of man and society were important. M. Scheler's approach to the spirit as the essential basis of man allowed us to interpret the notary as a person who has existential openness to the Other in its uniqueness and, at the same time, is aimed at realizing the universality of legal acts, norms, and laws. The modern philosophical methodology of meta-anthropology proposed by N. Khamitov has proved to be heuristically productive, as it allowed us to find out the metamorphosis of the notary's being and worldviews in the ordinary, boundary and meta-boundary dimensions of human existence. The approaches of S. Krylova's socio-cultural meta-anthropology were important. S. Krylova's socio-cultural meta-anthropology allowed us to consider the phenomenon of a notary and notarial activity in the coordinates of not only personal but also social existence. As a result, the author has developed an original methodological approach - meta-anthropology of legal consciousness - which allows us to draw numerous new heuristic conclusions regarding the specifics of a notary's existence in the modern world. This approach makes it possible to reveal the socio-cultural context of notaries' activities and to clarify the existential states that accompany their daily activities and encourage them not only to deepen their professional knowledge and skills but also to take an active social position, aimed at raising the level of legal consciousness of society, as well as at a tolerant and empathetic attitude towards the Other, which is the basis of the meta-borderline human existence. In the process of analyzing the substantive characteristics of the three existential dimensions of being in the context of meta-anthropology of legal consciousness, we have developed an approach according to which the most fruitful for a notary is a philosophical worldview that is independent, critical and creative in nature and which gives rise to an understanding of the humanistic purpose of man. Here, the provisions of the classics of existentialist philosophy by S. Kierkegaard, M. Heidegger, K. Jaspers, J.-P. Sartre, and A. Camus were useful. These methodological approaches were realized based on general scientific methods of cognition, among firstly hermeneutical and comparative approaches should be highlighted, which are directly related to the coverage of the tasks set in the research plan and their implementation in the author's text. At the same time, the requirements of the principles of the unity of the historical and logical and the ascent from the abstract to the concrete for a holistic philosophical knowledge of the subject of study were observed. The scientific novelty of the work is to prove that the notary and the notary community are essential factors in the formation and development of the modern Ukrainian state towards the acquisition of the status of a democratic and legal state aimed at the sustainable social development of society. This directs our state and society towards humanistic subjectivity, which means Ukraine's inclusion in the European community as an equal member. The heuristic feasibility and productivity of the meta-anthropology of legal consciousness as a new methodological approach was substantiated by the fact that this approach allows for an effective study of the existence of subjects of legal relations in society, considering their worldview and existential features, and is a new research area at the intersection of social philosophy, philosophical anthropology, and philosophy of law.
