Essay

The object of study - the Left-bank Ukrainian peasantry in 1928-1933, changing of its quantity, structure and character owing to realization violent forced continuous collectivization. The purpose of study is to characterize the Left-bank Ukrainian peasantry before the collectivization and to show changes, which have taken place in peasantry in 1928-1933. Statistical, historical, problem-chronological methods have been used. Thesis is devoted to complex study of changing of quantity, structure and status of Left-bank Ukrainian peasantry in 1928-1933. The problem of party-state government attitude to peasantry is considered, the mechanism of a peasant-owner figure annihilation and forced creation of kolkhozes with the aim of funds for industrialization forcing extraction is disclosed. Forms of peasant resistance, which had either passive and active character are defined in the research. The conclusion has been done, that bolsheviks politics had a candid antipeasant character. Forced collectivization, excessive state grain purchases, kulaks dispose led to the peasantry dispose of the country, considerable economic, demographic and moral and psychological losses.
