Essay

Diagnosis and surgical treatment of 111 children with biliary atresia,biliary hypoplasia, choledochal cysts and tubular choledochal stenosis were studied. The tactics of the investigation and treatment of different types developmental failure of bile ducts was developed. Means for prevention of postoperative ascending cholangitis were developed. It was described details of operative technics in Kasai operation.In cases of bile flow ceassation in postoperative period it is needed revision of porta hepatis. It was concluded that Kasai operation in treatment of biliary atresia should be the first step and the second one must be liver transplantation. Field - medicine.
