Essay

The object: 2-6-months age calves of the black-white breed; the aims - consists in exploit and experimental substantiation of the methods of early diagnostics of the trace elementhoses of calves caused by selenium and cobalt deficiency, its complex preventive and therapy with application of selenium and cobalt methionates; the methods - clinical, morphological (erythrocytes, leucocytes), biochemical (hemoglobin, activity of glutathione peroxidase, selenium, cobalt, vitamins A and Е, carotene, total protein, immune globulin and malonaldehyde ) and microbiological (vitamin B12) methods of research of blood, biochemical urinanalysis (methylmalonic acid levels); the new approach lies - on the basis of the study of hemopoesis, exchange cobalt, selenium, vitamin B12, methylmalonic acid and malonaldehyde for the first time it was realised the complex approach to deeper knowledge of pathogenesis of the trace elementhoses, caused by insufficiency of selenium and cobalt. Correlation dependence between disorderof an exchange of vitamin B12 and cobalt in blood and contents of methylmalonic acid in urine of the calves, between an exchanges of selenium, glutathione peroxidase activity and malonaldehyde content in blood of the sick animals was established for the first time. The participation of lipid peroxidation in development of the trace elementhoses, caused by insufficiency of selenium and cobalt was proved. The study of the listed factors gave possibility theoretically and experimentally to prove new methods of the diagnostics of hypocobaltosis and B12-hypovitaminosis by definition of the methylmalonic acid level in urine, and insufficiency of selenium - on activity of glutathione peroxidase in blood. The opportunity of use of these parameters as criteria in an estimation of efficiency of the treatment is reasonable. On the basis of study of an exchange cobalt, selenium, parameters of erythropoez, contents of malonaldehyde and methylmalonic acid, activity of glutathione peroxidase for the first time was exploited and technique of complex therapy of the sick calves with application of chelates compounds of microelements (methionates) in a complex with intramuscular injection of a preparation "Ursovit" was experimentally reasonable. The treatment calves with symptoms of white muscle disease with use of a preparation "Evetsel" ("Polfa") is carried out; the main - is developed diagnostics of lack of the cobalt and selenium and the treatment of sick calves; is introduced: in the agricultural enterprises "Obriy" and "Kolos" Luboml district of Volyn region; the field is Veterinary Medicine.
