Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of a great number of problems, connected with the activity of the bodies of local government in Galychyna on the basis of a wide spectrum of different sources. Normative-legal Acts, regulating the activity of organs of local government are analyzed and the periods of development of self-governmental institutions are characterized. The main attention is paid to the national and political aspects of their activities. The following conclusion is substantiated that due to the policy of official Warsaw the local self-government was transformed into one more tool of assimilation of Ukrainian people of Galychyna.
