Paslavskyj T. Historical and cartographical studies in Middle and New Ages in Ukraine: bibliographical aspect.

Historical and cartographical studies in Ukraine (late 18th-20th cc.) are retraced from historiographical and bibliographical points. The main research trends, studies types as the object of bibliography and contribution of famous researchers are emphasized. An experience of western historical and cartographical studies is analysed and compared with the development in Ukraine. The content of concepts of historical cartography, historical and cartographical studies, periodization of the cartography history in Ukraine is precised. The specifical features of the cartographical repertoire of the medieval maps in Ukraine are marked out, the matters of subject bibliography, map-bibliography and the structure of the bibliography are described.
