Antoniuk O. The development, formation and the anlage of the dura mater sinuses at an early period of human ontogenesis

The thesis deals with the questions of the anlage, development and formation of the dura mater sinuses during the prenatal period of human ontogenesis by employing the methods of injection, corrosion, macroscopy, microscopy preparation of the serial histological sections, normal and fine preparation, computer processing of medical-biological images and laser polarimetry. The time and anlage sources the development and formation of the upper and lower sagittal, tentoriаl, transverse, sigmoid, occipital sinuses have been investigated. Different variants of the structure оf the upper sagittal, transverse sinuses and the confluence of sinuses have been detected. It has been established that the growth, formation and development of the sinuses of the dura mater are in the morpho-functional unity with a gradual growth of the calvaria and the base of the skull; correlative associations among morphometric parameters of the sinuses, depending on the age-related individual variability of the skull structure during human embryogenesis have been discovered. The results of work introduced in the study process and research work of morphological and neurosurgical departments and also Health service of regions of Ukraine.
