The geospatial structure of the transport infrastructure of the Western Ukrainian borderland were examines in the dissertation. Theoretical and methodical basics of the research of the transport infrastructure were substantiated. In particular, the notion of the transport infrastructure of the borderland was introduced and the original research method was developed. The transport infrastructure regionalization of the Western Ukrainian borderland was carried out оn the basis of the gathered material. The most significant problems of the transport facilities were analyzed and the original recommendations for their solution by the regional administrations were substantiated.
