Essay

The thesis researches the dynamics of external economic links of Halych and Volyn ' lands at the end of X th. and the first half of the XIV th.с.c., their main tendencies and forms. It was concluded that there had been regular contacts with Byzantine Empire, with the East and with south- eastern Baltic states and with the lands of Poland. Import groups and the way of their expansion have been ascertained ; the borrowings of production technologies, as one of the types of links with the neighboring countries, have been analyzed. The process of the formation of the external links infrastructure and its legal basis have been traced.
