Essay

The individual anatomical variability of the internal iliac arteries, depending on the age, sex and cons-titutional type of the human body structure, va-riants of their bifurcations, the syntopy and forms of their trunks has been studied due to the use of modern methods of morphologic investigation. The ultrasonographic parameters of the internal iliac arteries in adult persons have been determined and a comparative characteristic of the sono-graphic and morphometric parameters has been carried out. Data pertaining to the effect of ligating the internal iliac arteries on the degree of hemodynamic changes of the pelvic organs in an exsperiment have been supplemented and specified.
