The thesis is dedicated to a research of activities of Ukrainian Pedagogical Societies of Galychyna and Bukovyna regions within the eighties of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The thesis analyses organization principles of the Pedagogical Sicieties and their enlightenment and educational activities, elucidates their work for improvement of educationalists' economic conditions and protection of their political rights, formulates conclusions and advices summarizing the principal results of the research.
