Ivannikova M. Scroll cyrillic book of the XVII-th century at the Institute of Manuscript of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (VNLU): historical codycological description.

The dissertation is devoted to the historical codycological and source research of the scroll book as a particular phenomenon of manuscript book's culture of the XVII-th century. The codycological analysis is aimed to determine the history, origin and content of every existing manuscript from that period, that survived through our time. The array of manuscripts that are hold at the Institute of Manuscript of VNLU was identified and analysed. Author has determined basic methodical principles and specific features of the codycological description of a scroll Cyrillic book of the XVII-th century. The main methods of the studies of the Ukrainian book have been detected, including the tabular method of the filigreed analysis and codex's structure, records and marginalia classifications.
