Mitsan T. Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (1615-1817) Documentological analysis of the fonds of Institute of Manuscript of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (VNLU)

The dissertation is devoted to the documentological analysis of the Kyiv-Mohyla academy manuscripts as sources of history and activities of the first Ukrainian high education establishment. Certain fixed types of documents are determined during the process of classification and systematization of the documents. Historical classification of the documents is suggested to be done by their class, family and species attributes. The specific features of KMA's documentation system's development are depicted. The main stages of it's development and classification for the whole period of existence of the Academy in the context of origin, composition and contents of the documents are given. On the basis of a complex research of the documentary sources the main components of the KMA's heritage have been determined. The documents of administrative, scientific, pedagogical and cultural activities are analysed. The structural analysis of composition and content of the documentary complexes of KMA has been carried out. The significance of the complexes source research has been determined.
