The object of study - the historical-culturological and socio-economic aspect of formation and development of the study of local lore and excursion industry in Ukraine in the 1920s. The purpose of study is on the basis of the published documents, archival materials and periodicals to analyze complexly a political role of study of local lore and excursion industry in the 1920s, process of formation and activity of a network of excursion establishments, value of study of local lore and excursion industry for development of modern excursion branch, historical study of local lore, work on protect of monument, museum studies. The methods used in the research are: comparative-historical, problem-chronological, statistical, analytical. The dissertation is devoted to the research of processes in the development of the study of local lore and excursion industry in Ukraine in the 1920s. The issue of the relations between the state policies and excursion industry is researched through the analysis of a wide rangeof sources and the generalization of the theoretical foundations and practical methods of excursion.
