The object is the process of forest using in Ukrainian Carpathians mountain region; the aims is to develop the theoretical basics and methodical approaches to forest using optimization, directed to the rise of its eco-economical effectiveness; the methods are modelling, operational research, statistic and system analysis; the new approach lies in complex approach to the choice of optimizing forest using process, firstly offered the system of alternative economical optimization criteria, improved forest using optimization models; results are used for planning of forest resources using terms and volumes; it is used in practise by "Lvivlis" company and forest enterprise "Galsillis"; the implementation sphere - Ukrainian forest industry.
