Object - professional activity of the teacher of physical education in the higher educational establishment; purpose - development of the training of the physical education teachers of the higher educational establishments by means of analysis of personal peculiarities of formation of conceptual model of professional activity; methods - analysis of literature data, pedagogical supervision, questionnaire, psychological and diagnostic methods, content-analysis, mathematical statistics; novelty - for the first time a conceptual model of activity of a physical education teacher was developed and its basic empirical characteristics were analysed; result - methods of evaluation of the preparedness of the graduating students for the activity as a physical education teacher, it is recommended to use in the physical training higher educational establishments.
