Essay

Object: Greek-Ukrainian cultural and religious-political contacts in the beginning of the early modern period. Aim: comprehensive elucidation of the influences of the Byzantine and post-Byzantine inheritance on the development of the Ukrainian culture of the early modern period. Methods: historical, systematic objectivity and non-confession orientation. Results: for the first time the influences of the Byzantine and post-Byzantine inheritance on formation of the Ukrainian culture are thoroughly investigated, the scarcely known text - Ukrainian translation of the theological treatise of Gabriel Severos is involved in a scholarly circulation. Sphere of use: scientific, educational-pedagogical.
