Essay

Object - genetic determination of photoperiodic sensitivity (Ppd) in winter bread wheat and phenotypic manifestation of Ppd genes in plant ontogenesis; aim - differences in effects of certain photoreaction genes carriers (Ppd1, Ppd2, Ppd3) comparing to initial cultivar (recessive in ppd genes) in their influence on time of development and agronomic traits of winter bread wheat under favorable environment of phytotron and natural field environment; methods - phenotypic observations and registration of agronomic traits, morphophysiological and statistical analyses; novelty - role determination of certain Ppd alleles in near isogenic on photoreaction loci lines simultaneously for several parameters under various environments; results - the effect of Ppd genes has been revealed in different duration of II-V ontogenetic stages. The breeding value of Ppd genes has been ascertained for the certain cultivation zones; utilization of results - creation of winter wheat cultivates with predicted time of development for the certain zones; branch - genetics, breending
