Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to the choosing of expedient method of warm-up of the passenger automobile. Dissertation deals with working out of the general methods of determining of the expedient way of warm-up of automobile engine. The mathematical model of calculation of fuel consumption and of harmful substances ejection by the automobile engine was created in the dissertation; such model allows to consider influence of the temperature model of engine in the process of warm-up, during movement of automotive over the European city driving cycle. Experimental investigations of the automobile conducted in stand and field conditions allowed to determine of the method of warm-up onto the fuel consumption and harmful emissions of the automobile. In the result of concluded investigations it was shown that in order to save fuel and reducing of volume of harmful emissions in the operating conditions after running and within the short-term operation period (up to 60 s) with the minimal established frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine the automobile's warm-up should be done while moving with minor load.
