Ignatenko M. Development of study of local lore in Chernihiv region of the second half of the XX century

.The object of study - the historical-local lore movement in Chernihiv region of the second half of the XX century. The purpose of study is the complex study of activity of the local lore centers of Chernihiv region during 1943-1991. The methods used in the research are: historism, objectivity, problem-chronological, structural-system, comparative-historical. The practical value of the dissertation consists in use of results in the further researches on a history of local lore movement in Chernihiv region and in Ukraine as a whole, at creation of generalizing works, manuals on study of local lore, history of museum, archival and library business. On the basis of studying of the vast range of archive documents, most of which were put into scientific circulation for the first time, and publications in the mass media the major tendencies and directions of study of local lore in Chernihiv region under conditions of total crisis of soviet society of 1943-1991were investigated. The contribution of museum, archives, and libraries into study of History of the region was analyzed. The participation of educational institutions and funds in local studies was revealed. The experience of studying of local History was critically generalized.
