The thesis focuses on the analyses of the administrative science development, main management schools, adaptable management, its evolution and connection with the common theory of management. It also deals with the systematic analyses of secondary comprehensive schools establishment and activities as an object of management, including schools with humanitarian slant. The author defines the main charecteristics of adaptable management of educational process in schools of this type, the specific nature of its functions, structure, technologies of realisation. The research represents theoretically substantiated and experimentally proved model of adaptable management of educational process in schools with humanitarian slant. It consists of three main components: contents, structure, technology. The experimental part of this work discusses how the model ifluences the quality of educational process and the processes of self-organization, self-development of its participants. Methodical recommendations how toorganize the studies for administrative workers of schools with humanitarian slant in order to prerare them for adaptable management are developed.
