The thesis is focused on the development and implementation of scientifically justified recommendations aimed at optimization of production and market activities of pharmaceutical enterprises with the help of PR techniques. There has been done a study of the practical use of public relations in the activities of domestic pharmaceutical enterprises. A comprehensive assessment of the efficiency of communication techniques used by pharmaceutical enterprises to supply medicines to the population of Ukraine has been prepared. There have been proposed methodologies for evaluation of participation in exhibitions, special PR-events, assessment of image, increase of integration of marketing communications, establishment of corporate culture and promotion of the sale of medicines in chemist's shops. An analysis of production and financial activities of a pharmaceutical enterprises has been carried out and a program for raising the competitiveness of pharmaceutical companies with consideration of the requirements and demands of medicine consumers has been developed and implemented
