Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to research and development of operating processes in marine ICE in tropical conditions with the main aim - improving fuel efficiency of diesel marine power plants. It was selected a way for reaching this aim - usage the complex system for air charge cooling (CSFACC). This system includes an internal evaporating cooling in compressor of turbocharger unit and expansion turbine cooling unit. It was elaborated the mathematics model of the operating process in ICE with the CSFACC. The adequacy of this model was proved with the help of an experimental research. It was researched and developed the influence of an air charge cooling deep on the redistribution of a mechanical and heat energy flows in ICE on the mathematics modeling base. It was shown the decreasing the specific consumption of fuel may be over 15 g/(kW.h) for marine power plant in tropical conditions exploitation. It was elaborated the recommendations for implementing the CSFACC in marine power plants designing andproducing.
