Essay

There are researched the main aspects of creation and activity of the Kyiv high women's courses (KVZhK): opening and re-opening of the courses, teaching and administrative activity of teacher's body of the KVZhK, the receiving by the courses rights of a high school university's level. It was analyses the body of students in social and national aspects and the beginning of scientific activity of women-scientists, witch studied at the courses. The history of the courses is studied in general social and cultural context, and it was proved the leading role of the KVZhK as a high school for women in Ukraine.
