Petrunyok B. Features of the formation and development of collective identity of Crimean Tatars in the context Ukrainian state-building processes.

In the dissertation proposed a comprehensive approach to the analysis of collective identity Crimean Tatars in its external relay. The base is to try to find out prospects of inclusion of the Crimean Tatar community in the process of Ukrainian state-building. The author propose own structure of collective identity through its horizontal and vertical dimensions. Considered the historical context of inter-ethnic relations in Crimea. The author propose a consideration of the history of ethnic communities in the form of competitive alternative historical discourses (Crimeantatar, Russian, Ukrainian). Overview main stereotypes formed during this interaction. Offered mechanisms to overcome them. There were similarities Russian policy of assimilation that the Ukrainian and Crimean and the similarity of nation-building processes. Also recorded successful experience of interethnic cooperation between Ukrainian and Crimean Tatars. Author examined the main components of collective identity Crimean Tatars at the present stage (from the perspective of the inclusion of Crimean Tatars in the Ukrainian state building process). Considered the main challenges faced by the Crimean Tatar community in connection with the occupation of the Crimea and the possibility of reaction to the situation by the Ukrainian state.
